American Popular Song

Schedule

We will stick as closely as possible to the daily schedule of topics, but it is subject to adjustments as the class progresses.

The listening assigned here is more than what we'll be able to cover in class, but it's good for you to get as broad a context as possible, and then focus your re-listening on the examples that get played in class. Exams will only include examples that we play in class, so in that sense you are not "responsible" for all of the tracks listed here.
